Shortly after September 11, 2015, a 14 year old North Texas boy, Ahmed Mohamed, dubbed “The Clock Boy”, became a worldwide media sensation.

Recently in late June 2016, the Clock Boy was again in national headlines with his temporary return to North Texas.

- EDIT IN 2018 -
The following 2 1/2 minute video is such an incredibly heroic statement circa 2010 that this "lost, but found video" should help to bring in a new year with 2018.

Dallas Bomb Plot, Others Not Connected, FBI Says

Investigators apparently sought near-simultaneous arrests to avoid the risk that one arrest would warn other suspects, even though the plots were unrelated, McCaul said.

WASHINGTON — Federal authorities told key members of Congress on Thursday that there is no connection between a plot to blow up a Dallas office tower last week and other terror schemes disrupted at the same time in New York and Illinois.

“That was asked very directly, and they were very definitive,” said one of the lawmakers with access to classified intelligence, Rep. Michael McCaul, R-Austin, after a briefing from FBI and Homeland Security officials.

Jordanian citizen Hosam Maher Husein Smadi, 19, was arrested Sept. 24 and accused of plotting to topple the 60-story Fountain Place building. Explosives and a detonator supplied to him by undercover agents were only simulated, authorities said.

A new state law makes Sept. 11 a holiday for firefighters. But some don't know about it and might not be able to skip work that day anyway.

"I'm not aware of one," Ernest Gurule, a spokesman for Dallas Fire-Rescue, said of the statewide holiday commemorating firefighters' sacrifices during the 2001 terrorist attacks.

"I had no idea it had been voted on," said Chris Sweet, treasurer and past president of the Lewisville Firefighters Association.

While the new law hasn't received much publicity, "it's something I wanted to do to honor firefighters," said Rep. Armando Walle, D-Houston, who authored the law that takes effect Sept. 1.

In the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks, 343 New York firefighters and paramedics were killed. A total of 60 New York and Port Authority police officers also died.

Indignation is a curious thing in the era of Barack Obama. Having seen the mockery this White House can heap on voters who dare to show it anger, this week has provided a window to what in turn sparks the Obama team to outrage.

The current scorecard:

•Release of one of the world's most notorious terrorists by Scottish authorities – not much indignation.

•Techniques used by the previous administration to get answers from terrorists to keep Americans safe – massive indignation. The evidence mounts that an administration that cannot even bring itself to use the word "terrorist" has shown itself thoroughly unfit to fight them. From the wildly foolish notion of affording Guantánamo detainees access to American courts to the stunning gullibility of its soft stance on Iran, this administration has made it clear to terrorists: there is indeed a new sheriff, and his holster is empty.

Insider Trading Case Dismissed Against Mark Cuban

It was pointed out in the article, that it is rare for a federal judge to dismiss a suit this early in the process. Below are also links of a heated email exchange between Mark Cuban and the Dallas based SEC Attorney, Jeffrey Norris, which had occurred previous to any charges being filed by the SEC against Cuban. Norris accuses Mark Cuban of being un-American by contemplating the distribution of Loose Change Final Cut.
